Gian Paul Hotel is a country house by the sea. In the 1970s it was a haven of peace for a group of Austrians, who made it a base for their holidays until the following decade, when they changed destination following a new ownership agreement by the municipalities. It was then bought by Dr. Giampaolo C., known to friends as Gian Paul, who began the renovation but was unable to complete it. Today his family is carrying on his work, which has grown and grown, year after year. It looks over Cavi di Lavagna, a beautiful area of traditional gardens and terraces of olive trees. The hotel enjoys a privileged position because, surrounded by silence and classic Ligurian vegetation, it is very close to the sea, which you can reach in five minutes. The rooms are furnished in natural tones of white and beige and many have a view of the Portofino headland. We are also just a few miles from Sestri Levante and Chiavari railway stations.

Hotel Lavagnese is a comfortable two-star hotel in a handy, quiet position in the old town of Lavagna. The hotel and the restaurant were completely renovated in 2008; the rooms were totally refurbished and fitted with private bathrooms and colour TV. The hotel has a comfortable, practical meeting room with space for up to 40 people. The restaurant, with its elegant and comfortable dining room, the garden where you can enjoy the sea breeze and a special room for banquets and business dinners, is the jewel in our crown. The beach, the railway station and the port can be reached on foot in a few minutes.

Three-star Hotel Miramare is in the old town of Lavagna just 200 yards from the sea and the beach. It occupies an entirely 1920s building, with 35 rooms, each equipped with private bathroom, TV, telephone, free Wi-Fi, safe, hairdryer and courtesy set. Most of the rooms are also equipped with air conditioning. Some have a balcony or terrace, access by lift and central heating. Hotel Miramare overlooks one of the main town squares, which acts as the stage every year in August for the medieval re-enactment of the Torta dei Fieschi. We have an outdoor terrace facing the square, an internal garden, two restaurant dining rooms, a bar area with TV room and children's area, and an internal car park at the back of the building. A small complex of mini-apartments, Le Casette are set in the heart of Cavi Borgo, on an old fishermen's beach. The building, which has private parking, is made up of two- and three-bed rooms around an internal courtyard, some of which are equipped with air conditioning; the entrance overlooks a narrow street in the village that has recently become a culinary centre, with restaurants, trattorias and fast-food establishments.
